My show would blow your mind, but I prefer there's audience left to watch it. - Magus Hecate
Label: Lightweight - medium weight Another character in my "Twisted Classics" theme of oc's. The twisted classics are based on classic figures we all know (the hunter, the maiden, or in this case, the phantom thief) and spiced up with a different sort of background story and/or enviroment. Also to be noted, Magus Hecate is the fuse between two beings. Namely the human Victor Maldov and the exogen (alien parasite) Tekton-y. Magus hecate was also made for a roleplay I am joining once my tests/exams are over. An rp made by ~Csp499! To understand anything of what I'm going to start talking about now, though, you might wanna check out the plot though. Victor Maldov was a magician from England, and had been since he'd graduated from his studies. He's allways had a passion for entertaining - infact, his entire life revolves around it. People were becoming harder to entertain though - so Victor had to constantly challenge himself to the extreme, improove and try to impress bejoin his own skills to create more amazing and entertaining shows. That's rather expencive though. As a result, Victor ended up earning some "bonus money" illegally, through things like drug dealing and arranging robberies. Victor wasn't exactly happy about this sort of living though. In order to keep his own self respect active, he chose to think of himself as one of the arcetypical "phantom thieves". Furthermore Victor easily got depressed when he failed to entertain an audience. If even one amongst them didn't seem to be neither impressed or entertained, he could get a rather rabid drop in his selvesteem. Eventually, this lead to moments of extreme depression, which he fought off by drinking himself shitless. The depressions got worse as the drinking started cutting in his money, he had to get more involved with the illegalties and his selvesteem dopped. Which of course, made him more depressed. Most of those years are clouded by alcohole and hangovers, really. But the worst part was if there was no alcohole to get to, there allways were that shiney powder he was making money on. A solution that eventually got him on the hospital from an overdosis. Of course, when he was free to go again, the doctor's send him straight to a bunch of psyciatres to help his depressions, but that only made it worse. You just can't seem to impress of entertain a psyciatre. And a whole building of pokerfaces and other sad and depressed individuals only made everything worse. In the end, it became getting drunk and taking drug trips at the same time. ....It was in this time that Tekton-y landed. Tekton-y was an exogen with somewhat of a problem - the problem that he was unable to generate actual blades. He never could push it further than spikes. This handicap wasn't exactly well accepted amongst his own murderous race, or rather, not very practical as exogen have no problem with feeding on each other. In defence, Tekton-y had learned to defend himself by perfecting the ability to change shape and using his tactical knowledge - which sort of made him a super stealth exogen. Might not be much of a fighter, but he sure does make an awesome assasin or spy. Tekton-y found Victor during one of the drink-and-drugged trips, and tried to infect him while Victor was in a weakened state. As a cause, the Exogen had a hard time putting itself in controle of Victor. To try find a way to make it easier, he infected the man's conscious mind first, temporarily connecting to all Victor's mental activity AT ALL. A plan that surprisingly suceeded. At the start of the infection, Tekton-y was an aggressive son of a bitch. He'd hunt just abuot any human coming near the area (in this case people who'd come to buy drugs or make other illegal deals with Victor), but somehow, Tekton-y decided instead to melt together with Victor - maybe because of being already connected to the man's thoughts. For a while, Victor seemed to have completely dissapeared of the face of the earth, and the police stempled him dead and missing. Some years later, though, a mysterious phantom thief by the name "Magus Hecate" appeared for the first time in Japan. "Magus Hecate" was a strange strange man in a classic costume, stealing as his main crimes, but would still be involved in other illegalties, such as drug dealing. In reality, Magus Hecate was the hybrid created from the fusion between Victor and Tekton-y. Their mind was rather strangely build up, so that Victor filled 25%, Tekton-y filled 25%, and the rest was a complete fusion between the two, aka Magus Hecate. Magus Hecate's greatest enemy is, naturally, the police. Though, due to Tekton-y's sadistic feeding thoughts, the dislike Victor held, turned them into an ideal hunting ground for food. He/they doesn't feed on all humans. They only attacks cops and people in their way, basicly. If they hunger from flesh "offstage" (or more correctly when there's no cops), they feed off dead people in the graveyards. More often than not creating quite a mess in the process. Dead people are generally their favorite foods, and they don't really mind rot (hench the graveyard robbing), so he's easier to escape from, than other aggressive hybrids are. Well, unless you're a copper. Police-people face certain death upon contact. Magus Hecate works flashily in best "big and loud" manner, in order to entertain his audience (most oftenly anyone watching the news). He like to entertain while performing his crimes and he still uses trickmagic to get around with. However, with the exogen morphed with him, he can now make some of that trickmagic all the more awesome - or real depending on trick and situation. Usually it's Victor during all the actual work though - Tekton-y just supplies the information and makes sure they don't get killed. You probably won't realise he's an exomorph at first, seeming Tekton-y part of it has taken shape as Magus Hecate's costume. (which quite technicly ain't a costume anymore then). While it can't make very effective blades from it's mass, it can change shape to most anything - very quickly. Additionally, Victor can collect weaponry and other objects from slain coppers (or other enemies) which he either saves for eventual uses or get modified to match his flashy style. That way, he can still get around and defend himself, despite the fact that neither him nor Tekton-y are warrior-types. By now, he's yet to be captured. Not even close. Probably due to being very, very slippery. When They aren't in the role as "Magus Hecate", they are simply in the role of Victor, or at least someone reminding of him (seeming Victor is officially dead). To sum him up, Victor fails at life offstage, pretty much. Seeming he's not officially alive, he can't really acess any of his old money, so he sells the stolen objects, so he could use it on hotel rooms, foods (this mostly un-canonicly) and every once in a while, boose and cotton candy. Yes, cotton candy. I'll explain in a bit. The matter of Victor Victor simply wants to entertain you. He's a good man with good intensions, however, he was kicked off the right track and hasn't quite gotten back on it yet. Victor is willing to go to unbelievable heights to entertain and/or impress you. If he fails to do so, he usually ends up depressed, the moment he's "off stage" (aka not in the role of Magus Hecate) This usually ends up in drinking himself out of his mind, or if he can't get his hands on boose, drugs. While Victor's a nice guy, he is, still, rather creepy due to the fuse with Tekton-y. Mainly because of his tendency to eat corpses, but also from how he'd treat a policeman. A thing that could stur up the stomach of even some of the most hardcore gurofans. Victor doesn't really realise himself (at times) that he's creepy. He will act completely normal around human population however, in order to stay unnoticed. Silent, nice, slightly goofy, kind and sort of sad would descripe Victor very well - unless he managed to keep his audience completely entertained, in which he'll be quite a good mood. WHen Victor poses as Victor, he'll look black-eyed, but really, this is just Tekton-y altering the eyecolour. After all, after the fuse, he got those shining yellow eyes that can get rather freaky. Victor's a highly skilled man, but years in the evil spiral downwards has crushed his selvesteem at some points. He only feels really alive when he takes the role as Magus hecate, and therefore prefers to stay as the phantom thief, rather then showing his fakely bearded face. The matter of Tekton-y Tekton-y is a sadist. Simply a sadist. Due to his background, he greatly dislikes his fellow exogen and tries to avoid them - in combat however, he'd prefer to watch them suffer. Usually by taking out smaller chunks of it, untill it can painfully bleed to death. Therefrom, it'll consume the other exogen in the most gruesome, cannibalistic manner. Tekton-y is rather intelligent, and due to the fuse with Victor, he can now view things from both a human and an exogen point of view - a thing that supports Victor a lot, so the magician can work without problems when facing both human and exogen. Usually, Tekton-y just keeps quiet and camuflages itself as Victor's clothing, but will take action if it has to. Tekton-y is fas, and is able to stop a bullet from piercing further than the clothing, however, it cannot stop a more powerful shot or attack. Though Tekton-y is a pessimistic, aggressive parrasite that hates just about everyone it encounters, it is slowly calming down to a more acceptable (in human terms at least) state. Personally, I think it enjoys being a part of Victor, and Victor evens out most of the temper and is slowly calming the beast. However, if they're abselutely starved, Tekton-y will take action and hunt just about everyone and anything - in horrible horrible manners. So GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY! Furthermore, Tekton-y has addicted an addiction to cotton candy. As a last warning: you might not want to try pickpocket Victor. As Tekton-y is the costume, he'll make sure you deeply regret even thinking about pickpocketing them. As Victor once commented: Now your hand's there, now it's gone! Usually, the thieves don't survive. Watch out! The matter of Magus Hecate The very fusion, the hybrid. Magus Hecate is the chaotic result of the pact between Victor and Tecton-y, however, this fusion mostly only gets to unfold his full glory on stage. He's cocky without being too annoying, witty, smart and an entertaining figure. Pretty much your typical phantom. He's not a split personality, but seeming both Victor and Tekton-y has to camuflage their nature "off stage", he DOES seem like a completely different person. Magus Hecate is a high skilled, sadistic but kind, dangerous but merciful and playful man who seems to have a screw loose once in a while. He is, however, completely sane. I made is sound like these are very split from each other. In reality, they're not. Think of him as when you adjust a colour in, say, paint or photoshop. One end is purely white, one end is purely black, and the colour fades between those in between. The only reason the seem different, are due to the acting they make so they can perform. Current themesongs: Victor's themesong. Magus Hecate's themesong. Tekton-y's themesong. Trivia - Victor is 43 years old, and has no known family. - Victor is currently single and straight. (as far as I know anywho) - When Magus Hecate (or Victor) has performed for a kid, he will usually leave a piece of candy (usually a candy cane) behind. - When Magus Hecate has performed for a woman he doesn't hate, he will usually leave a rose behind. - Magus Hecate often leave small notes with riddles or small messages on. - Surprisingly, both Victor and Tekton-y seems to like children. - Magus Hecate has directly said that he does not consider a policeman an actual person. This has yet to explained why in detail. - Magus hecate can grow directly scary when he wants to. - Unfortunatly, a lot of graveyards are under sharp surveilance, after Victor started eating from them - this often means Victor can grow hungry for quite a while. - Mindreading them would make you har three voices, whereas one of them sounds like a weird, creepy eccho itself, another doesn't speak human or with a human voice, and basicly, only one of them sounds normal. - Tekton-y can speak over 75 human languages fluently. - Victor himself speaks with a british accent. - Tekton-y speaks with a completely unknown accent, and mostly sounds like a mutated animal in voice. - Magus Hecate speaks with no accent, but can fake just about any accent he wants. - Their gun fires either stale bullets, or baby ecogen infections. Latter rather rare as Tekton-y doesn't like his own race. - Un-canonicly, Vic's best pal is Tony, a necrophile angel/demon that owns a hotdogstand and LOVES Vic's magic. - Magus Hecate is very fond of animals and especially doves~ - Other than the use of weapons, trickmagics and his connection to Tekton-y, Victor is a COMPLETELY NORMAL HUMAN. No superpowers, very woundable. - Aidan designed a special car shape for Tekton-y! It drives on their collective energy, so they cannot use it when they're tired or hungry - which they can be just after a ride! Especially the latter! - Victor can, as an entertainer, dance, sing and act. - When Victor is happy, he loves listening to hawaiian music. His current favorite song would be the "Aloha E komo mai" - Victor has his own detective after him! Oh noes!
